Job Title: Principal Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Design Engineer to lead the electrical design solutions on complex projects from initial concept through to final delivery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for representing the business in front of clients and architects, and providing mentorship and guidance to more junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the electrical design on complex and large-scale UK and International projects across various sectors.
  • Manage the delivery of electrical design solutions in accordance with British Standards and relevant codes of practice.
  • Produce detailed electrical designs and specifications for projects, ensuring compliance with performance requirements and energy efficiency standards.
  • Undertake detailed calculations and simulations to validate the electrical design solutions.
  • Attend site visits and meetings with clients, architects, and contractors.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years' UK experience in electrical design engineering within the building services industry.
  • Ideally Chartered Engineer status.
  • Knowledge and experience of British Standards and relevant codes of practice.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience in using electrical design software such as Amtech, Dialux, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Salary Estimate: £85,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
