Building Compliance Engineer

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Building Compliance Engineer to join their leading consultancy that provides environmental, sustainability, and compliance services to the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safe transportation of equipment to and from the test site by vehicle and manually as required
  • Liaise with site agents and personnel
  • Size and plan proposed test approaches
  • Carry out tests in accordance with CIBSE TM23:2000, BS EN13829:2001, and ATTMA TSL1 & TSL2
  • Interpret and evaluate results during testing
  • Produce ATTMA short reports using electronic system
  • Undertake defect identification where necessary in event of test failure
Requirements:
  • ATTMA Level 1 or Level 2
  • Excellent communication, written, and verbal skills
  • Full UK driving license
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations or construction industry guidelines (desirable)
  • Computer literate (e.g., Excel spreadsheets, Outlook)
  • Experience in testing complex buildings, plenums, smoke shafts, isolation rooms (HBN 04 BTS 03), and PassivHaus (desirable)
