Independent Living Advisor

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Independent Living Advisor to join our team at Cherwell Court and Roeacre Court in Heywood. Reporting to the Independent Living Manager, you will be responsible for providing an intensive housing management service to our customers.
Key responsibilities include developing successful customer relationships, assisting prospective customers with property viewings and settling into their accommodation, and ensuring customers understand their rights and responsibilities under their tenancy agreement.
You will also assist customers in accessing suitable housing benefit assistance or financial advice to cover rent/service charges, facilitate referrals for assistive technology, aids, and adaptations to maintain customer independence.
In addition, you will conduct regular site inspections and tests to ensure the scheme is fully operational and Health and Safety compliant, as well as monitoring the quality of contractors such as window cleaning and grounds maintenance.
A full UK driving licence and access to your vehicle are required for this role, as you will be travelling between our schemes in the area.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with older adults and proven ability to foster a sense of cooperation and independence within this group.
- Demonstrable commitment to Equality and Diversity.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
Salary and Benefits:
- A competitive salary of £25,521 per annum.
- 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
