Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join our Financial Markets Middle Office team at Bank of China. In this role, you will assist in meeting the requirements of EMIR/EMIR Refit, MIFID II, MIFIR and other regulatory rules in submitting various transaction reports for the Bank and London Trading Centre's bilateral trades.


Main Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with stakeholders from business, technology and compliance teams to develop and improve the Bank's transaction reporting framework, policies and procedures
  • Liaise between business and technical teams, supporting translation of business and regulatory requirements into detailed technical requirements for technology teams
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and liaise with third parties/vendors to support system development, improvement, testing, change management, raising and monitoring any issues
  • Perform daily regulatory transaction reporting activities under MiFID II, EMIR and other regulations where applicable
  • Monitor reports, remediate errors and exceptions by investigating, correcting and resubmitting erroneous reports
  • Prepare Management Information (MI)
  • Assist in Market Risk and Credit Risk related monitoring and control
  • Coordinate with Head Office in leading BOC European institutions to meet relevant reporting requirements
  • Backup other colleagues when required

Requirements:



  • Degree educated preferably in Banking, Finance, or other equivalent
  • Experience in Financial Markets or Regulatory Compliance
  • Understanding of financial instruments in Wholesale Markets including FICC
  • Regulatory reporting (transaction reporting) knowledge, EMIR, MiFID and SFTR is preferable
  • Knowledge and experience in IT implementation and transaction reporting is preferable
  • Ability to explain complex business and / or technical concepts to stakeholders across a wide spectrum of business areas
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Coding skills such as VBA and Macros is preferable
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment that requires an agile approach to recommending solutions to issues and problems

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in Mandarin is preferred
