Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Associate to join our team at the University of Glasgow. The successful candidate will contribute to a major Wellcome-funded Discovery Award investigating new epidemiological methods to measure tuberculosis transmission in Malawi, South Africa, and Zambia.

The Research Associate will work with Professor Peter MacPherson at the School of Health & Wellbeing, and with project collaborators at the Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Programme, ZAMBART, Zambia, and the University of Cape Town.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conducting research individually or jointly in accordance with the project deliverables and project/group/School/College research strategy.
  • Maintaining records and databases, drafting technical/progress reports and papers as appropriate.
  • Presenting work at international and national conferences, at internal and external seminars, colloquia and workshops to develop and enhance our research profile.
