About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Port and Marine team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil and structural engineering, with a technical focus and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver technical solutions for a wide range of projects
  • Check and review technical specifications, reports, and notes to a high standard
  • Mentor and support staff to achieve technical solutions and develop their knowledge and experience
  • Communicate and liaise with other disciplines and clients to ensure clear understanding of scope and deliverables
  • Design structures in the Marine Environment, including quay walls, piers, jetties, revetment, breakwaters, fendering, scour protection, linkspan supports, dolphins, etc.
  • Lead a team and establish work streams with clients on both existing and new contracts
  • Have a good understanding of British Standards, Eurocodes, and best practice in the maritime environment
  • Experience in delivering projects over a range of cost and complexity
  • Working in multi-disciplinary teams and experience in the UK Maritime industry

Requirements:

  • CEng / IEng qualified in civil or structural engineering – or anticipating achieving this status imminently
  • Be able to obtain SC Clearance
