Job Summary

The Execution Solution Lead is a key member of the Defense and Security (D&S) International Solutions team at CAE. This team is responsible for designing and delivering complete solutions to defense forces and para-military organizations around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities through the formal Capture process and successfully fulfill the role as a member of the Capture Team.
  • Accountable for winning new business with solutions optimized to meet customer requirements and budgets.
  • Ensure that the offering can be executed and delivered profitably, on schedule, in the most effective manner, with proper commercial and programmatic protection.
  • Support the D&S Lead to Award (L2A) business development process from initial customer interactions to contract award.
  • Follow established Execution Solution Lead best practices and knowledge base.
  • Support a global Community of Practice network to share information and lessons learned.
  • Develop and validate solutions on active opportunities, including defining a winning execution strategy, leading the preparation of an Integrated Master Schedule, and creating and validating proposal Management volumes.
  • Ensure supplier/partner workshare includes proper Statements of Work and technical requirements documents.
  • Lead the definition of comprehensive Transition Plans and post-delivery Sustainment Plans.
  • Prepare Milestone Payment Plans and Export Control plans.
  • Deliver Solution Reviews and Design-to-Win reviews.
  • Interface with customers and end-users to present solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of related program management leadership experience in industry and/or military service, with 3-5 years focused on the development and/or delivery of training programs in an operational and/or maintenance capacity for the defense sector.
  • Relevant experience leading medium to large development, training integration or engineering projects with high levels of risk/uncertainty.
  • PMP certification or equivalent considered an asset.
  • Previous experience with new business capture and proposal processes for large made-to-order programs, highly desirable.
  • Good ability to develop capture strategies for new business, leveraging winning themes and discriminators a definite asset.
  • Knowledge of CAE's products and training solutions, including modeling and simulation capabilities, considered a definite asset.
  • Relevant training/mentoring experience and skills an asset.
  • Excellent oral & written communication, as well as presentation skills.
  • Fluent in both English and French considered an asset.
  • Good people skills and problem-solving mind set.
  • Good business acumen and political savvy highly desirable.
  • Be able to hold a NATO SECRET security clearance.
