Job Title: Cleaning Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Mitie. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising a team of cleaning staff, ensuring that high standards of cleanliness are maintained, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the cleaning team to ensure that all areas are cleaned to a high standard.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and materials.
  • Provide training and guidance to cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment and materials are properly maintained and stored.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that cleaning schedules and procedures are aligned with business needs.
  • Monitor and report on cleaning performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed and that the cleaning team is aware of their responsibilities in this regard.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with the cleaning team, ensuring that they feel valued and supported.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a cleaning or facilities management environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and duties.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols, with the ability to ensure that all cleaning staff are aware of their responsibilities in this regard.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and materials.
