We are seeking an experienced Urban Forestry Inspector to join our team at Orbit Group. This role will involve inspecting and recording the condition of all Orbit Group's owned trees within the South and East regions, working in conjunction with internal teams and contractors.

Your Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for implementing and overseeing the cyclical tree inspection and management programme, working closely with internal teams and contractors to ensure the health and safety of our tree stock.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Inspect and record the condition of all Orbit Group's owned trees within the South and East regions">
  • Work with internal teams and contractors to identify remedial/maintenance works required">
  • Advise and write technical reports relating to arboriculture">
  • Promote partnerships and seek funding for tree planting, woodland creation, and biodiversity schemes">
  • Coordinate data entry of tree surveys and manage work from initial contact to completion">
  • Analyse insurance claims related to tree damage and provide advice to customers and stakeholders">

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • ">
  • A minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Arboriculture or similar qualification">
  • Experience working in a similar capacity">
  • Knowledge of laws and procedures relating to tree protection">
  • Extensive knowledge of tree inspection techniques, risk assessment, fault diagnosis, and maintenance">
  • Ability to survey trees and assess species, age, condition, and amenity value">
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements relating to tree works">
  • Ability to monitor contractor performance against contract conditions">
  • A valid UK driving licence and ability to travel nationally">

Salary Range: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional development.
