## Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide essential academic support and personal care to students with complex needs in Barking & Dagenham.

## Key Responsibilities

* Assist teachers in the classroom, helping students with complex needs in their learning and development.
* Provide personal care to students, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
* Support students individually or in small groups to achieve their specific learning objectives.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
* Follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Monitor and document student progress.
* Promote the social and emotional well-being of students, assisting them in developing vital life skills.

## Requirements

* Previous experience working with children with complex needs is essential.
* Relevant qualifications in education, healthcare, childcare, or special educational needs are highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Experience in providing personal care.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
