About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team at Active Care Group. As a Clinical Lead, you will play a key role in providing clinical leadership and supervision to our nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Supervision: Provide clinical supervision to nursing staff to further develop their competence and clinical practice.
  • Mentorship: Act as a mentor or preceptor to students, support workers, or healthcare assistants, as appropriate.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise junior staff in carrying out their care plans and ensure the effective supervision and development of staff.
  • Clinical Area Management: Take charge of a designated clinical area, as applicable.
  • Care Coordination: Liaise effectively with all stakeholders involved in the care process, including carers and relatives, to provide an effective, seamless, and integrated service to patients.
  • Professional Development: Maintain and update relevant knowledge and skills, maintain a professional portfolio, and participate in further training as appropriate, to enhance the quality of care for patients and carers.
  • Team Management: Plan, allocate, supervise, and evaluate working practices of the team on a shift-by-shift basis, ensuring high visibility of all staff at all times on the floor.
  • Discharge Planning: Assist in the timely discharge or transfer of patients by working closely with the Discharge Community Liaison Coordinator and ensuring all medications are available for a safe discharge or transfer.
  • Patient Reviews: Assist the Ward Manager in ensuring that regular reviews are held for each patient, in accordance with the placing authority's wishes and/or company policies and guidelines, and chair reviews as agreed or required.
  • Activity Participation: Assist the Ward Manager and wider multidisciplinary team in ensuring that all patients participate in a wide range of activities of their choice and that all staff is aware of the range of in-house and external facilities/activities, and that appropriate records of participation are kept.
  • Multidisciplinary Teamwork: Be an active participant in the multidisciplinary team, formulating care plans and utilizing appropriate assessments.
Requirements
  • A current NMC Pin registration.
