Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum

Job Summary:

Hunter Selection is seeking an experienced Electronic Assembly Technician to join our client's manufacturing team. As an Electronic Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating SMT machinery, assembling electronic components, and ensuring high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Setup and Operation: Set up all necessary equipment and perform necessary checks before operating the SMT machinery.
  • Electronic Component Assembly: Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and products in accordance with production build instructions and drawings.
  • Manual Assembly: Assemble printed circuit board assemblies using surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole (PTH) techniques.
  • Rework and Quality Control: Rework PCB assemblies to IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/21, and IPC-J-STD-001 standards.
  • Prototype and Qualification PCBs: Assemble prototype and qualification PCBs, working closely with the Design and Development department.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in fine detail, surface mount, and through-hole electronic assembly.
  • Machine Operation: Experience running a pick and place machine, ideally Mycronic family machine.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and quality.
  • Qualifications: Qualified to IPC-A-610 / IPC-J-STD-001 / IPC-7711/21.
  • Communication Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills.
