About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Palliative Care team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist psychological assessments and interventions to patients with advanced, incurable, and progressive illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote a supportive and compassionate care environment.
  • Participate in clinical audits and service evaluations to inform quality improvement initiatives and optimize patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, as accredited by the British Psychological Society.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations, including those with complex mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
