About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Centre (Scotland) Limited. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models that drive the selection, pricing, and bidding for our ads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop machine learning models that meet the needs of our business
  • Collaborate with data scientists to train and serve state-of-the-art neural networks on vast amounts of data
  • Optimize data pipelines and build and maintain model training infrastructure
  • Operate and optimize real-time model serving to support Sponsored Display worldwide

Requirements:

  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems
  • Experience in professional, non-internship software development
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • Experience in developing and deploying large-scale machine learning or deep learning models and/or systems into production

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
