We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Art Teacher to join our vibrant educational community in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for the arts, a commitment to fostering a creative learning environment and a strong desire to help students express their artistic talents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Deliver Inspiring Art Lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
  • Curriculum Development - Create a curriculum that meets national standards and encourages creativity, critical thinking and artistic expression.
  • Assessment and Feedback - Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to help students refine their skills and build confidence in their artistic abilities.
  • Classroom Management - Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages experimentation and a love for the arts.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork - Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, participate in professional development and contribute to the overall success of the school.
  • Extracurricular Activities - Organize and participate in extracurricular activities such as art clubs, exhibitions and community art projects to enrich the students educational experience.
  • Communication - Maintain open and effective communication with parents, guardians and the wider school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Fine Arts, Art Education or a related field.
  • A teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching art at secondary school level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of various art techniques, mediums and history.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their creativity and artistic potential.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
