Job Title: Supplier & Systems Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier & Systems Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Enersys. As a key member of our quality management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the conformity and suitability of internal measurement equipment and systems, as well as supporting the quality management of our supplier base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the establishment of risk criteria for our supplier base and ensure that those risks are evaluated, monitored, and actions arising from those processes are properly managed according to internal procedures and best practices.
  • Perform process audits on suppliers as part of our risk management process.
  • Ensure that risks related to out-of-calibration or failed calibration equipment are identified and escalated to the Site Quality Manager for action.
  • Provide training to operational teams on calibration processes.
  • Manage documentation systems with internal and external stakeholders while supporting the transition to an electronic system.
  • Understand and apply problem-solving tools, including 8D, Ishikawa, 5Why, and 5W1H.
  • Understand and apply Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Have knowledge of Automotive Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Be able to interpret technical drawings.
  • Have process audit experience.
  • Have a good understanding of calibration reports.
  • Have excellent organizational skills to support the management of documentation systems and site QMS.
  • Have attention to detail.
  • Be able to adapt to any situation.
  • Be logical in approach.
  • Be willing to learn.
  • Be willing to travel (10% of working time) to supplier locations within the UK and potentially to mainland Europe.
