About the Role

The Emmer Green Surgery is seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our patients, working collaboratively with our doctors and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide routine nursing care to patients in the treatment room, including administering injections and performing health checks.
  • Develop and implement health promotion and well-being programs to support the health and wellbeing of our patients.
  • Identify and manage patients at risk of developing long-term conditions, working to prevent adverse effects on their health.
  • Request and process pathology services as necessary, and maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Participate in national and local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care, and support shared learning within the practice.
  • Ensure clinical knowledge is up-to-date and mandatory training requirements are met.
  • Prepare and maintain environments and equipment before, during, and after patient care procedures.
  • Undertake, record, and follow guidelines for tasks for which you have received appropriate training and achieved competence.
  • Provide support and guidance to healthcare assistants as needed.
  • Participate in implementing national screening and immunization programs.
  • Comply with QOF, enhanced services, and medicines management initiatives to maintain practice high achievements.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (Current UK Professional Registration)
  • Nursing qualification
  • Desirable: Knowledge of working in Primary Care and understanding of Infection Control Procedures.
