About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for a Marine Engineer Officer to join our team on board an RFA vessel. As part of this role, you will be responsible for managing the Marine Engineering Department, overseeing tasks and duties, and ensuring the effective operation of marine engineering systems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience in managing teams and maintaining complex equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the Marine Engineering Department, including task delegation and personnel welfare.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of marine engineering systems, adhering to statutory regulations and RFA policies.
  • Develop and implement continuous training programs for departmental personnel, focusing on statutory and RFA requirements.
  • Assume training responsibilities for Cadets of the Marine Engineering specialization when no CTO is present.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Second Engineer (Unlimited) as a minimum.
  • STCW Personal Survival Techniques (5 Year Refresher Course)
  • STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (5 Year Refresher Course)
  • STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (5 Year Refresher Course)
  • STCW Advanced Fire Fighting (5 Year Refresher Course)
  • STCW Certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft (5 Year Refresher Course)
  • STCW Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (5 Year Refresher Course)
  • STCW Elementary First Aid
  • DP Maintainer Course (preferred or willing to undergo training)
  • Unrestricted ENG1
  • Passport
