About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Project Planning Specialist to join our team at Mace. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an awareness of the overall project lifecycle, from design through to handover, and for building an understanding of current planning/schedule management methodologies.


As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing planning/schedule management related applications, including MS Excel, PRA, MS Project, Primavera P6, and Acumen Fuse. You will also be expected to develop an introductory and increasing level of competency in core planning/schedule management related applications.


The ideal candidate will have exposure to working as a Primavera P6 project planner on large-scale construction/Civils/infrastructure projects, ideally for a tier 1 contractor or a client-side consultancy. A construction-related degree, such as civil/structural engineering, or construction/project management, is also essential.

Key Responsibilities



  • Develop an awareness of the overall project lifecycle, from design through to handover
  • Build an understanding of current planning/schedule management methodologies
  • Develop planning/schedule management related applications
  • Develop an introductory and increasing level of competency in core planning/schedule management related applications
  • Work within multidisciplinary teams to contribute towards creating plans, analysing trends using numerical and statistical techniques

Requirements



  • Exposure to working as a Primavera P6 project planner on large-scale construction/Civils/infrastructure projects
  • A construction-related degree, such as civil/structural engineering, or construction/project management
  • Good attention to detail and ability to validate, draft, and check planning/schedule reports produced
  • Familiarisation with other planning software, including Microsoft Project, Asta Power Project
  • Schedule risk analysis (QSRA)
  • P6 configuration management, including user access, OBS creation and management, user profiles, OBS assignment
  • Set up and use of resources
  • Use of P6 for EVM
