Outreach Tutor Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced educators to deliver one-to-one tuition to young people in need of support in Barking and Dagenham.

The Opportunity

As an Outreach Tutor, you will work closely with students who have been out of education for some time, often with complex needs and low confidence levels. Your role will be to engage them in learning, provide structure, and support their academic progress.

We work collaboratively with our tutors to monitor student progress, submitting weekly reports that highlight successes and challenges. This role is ideal for experienced teachers looking to make a positive impact in a personalized setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-to-one tuition to students with complex needs and low confidence levels
  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to bridge gaps in education and boost attainment
  • Monitor student progress and submit weekly reports to Prospero Teaching
  • Work collaboratively with Prospero Teaching to ensure student engagement and academic success
Requirements

We are seeking tutors with a strong background in supporting students with SEN, autism, SEMH, and complex needs. Experience working in a one-to-one setting is essential, as is the ability to create engaging and personalized lesson plans.
