We are seeking an experienced Structural Reinforcement Specialist to join our team at Work Matters Ltd. As a Steel Fixer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the structural integrity of our bespoke precast concrete products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to determine steel reinforcement requirements.
  • Cut, bend, and fix steel bars, mesh, and steel frameworks into position inside formwork for precast concrete.
  • Secure reinforcement bars and mesh with correct spacing and alignment to ensure structural integrity.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Maintain steel fixing equipment and tools to ensure they are in proper working condition.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Steel Fixer, preferably within the precast concrete industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and reinforcement schedules.
  • Excellent knowledge of steel reinforcement techniques and materials.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools relevant to steel fixing.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Overtime after 45 hours.
