Specialist Paediatric Consultant Opportunity for Maternity Leave Cover

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new General Paediatric Consultant to join the Whittington Hospital NHS Trust team. This is a 1-year fixed-term post for maternity leave cover, commencing December 2024.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all daily morning handovers and conducting or supervising middle grades in conducting daily ward rounds on Ifor ward. They will also be responsible for communicating with parents of children on Ifor ward, as well as managing acute admissions to the paediatric ambulatory care unit.
The timetable comprises 9 programmed Activities (PAs). Job plans are annualized, and the days of the week the appointee will work may be negotiated depending on their needs and those of the department.
Suitable candidates will have full GMC Registration, be on the GMC specialist register OR within six months of CCT at time of scheduled interview, CESR applicants must be on specialist register at point of application, MRCPCH or equivalent, SPIN or equivalent in diabetes.
