About the Apprenticeship:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Software Development Apprentice to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software development while completing a Level 3 Software Development Technician apprenticeship, delivered by QA, one of the UK's leading training providers.

As a Software Development Apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced team on exciting projects, gaining valuable skills in both backend and frontend development. You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in frameworks like Django (Python) or Angular (JavaScript/TypeScript) while contributing to real-world software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications using Django and/or Angular.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the reliability and performance of applications.
  • Learn and apply best practices in software development, including Agile methodologies and version control using Git.
  • Contribute to the creation of user interfaces and web services, ensuring a seamless user experience.

What We're Looking For:

  • A passion for technology and a keen interest in software development.
  • Basic experience or understanding of either Django (Python) or Angular (JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Familiarity with coding and programming fundamentals (e.g., Django, Angular) is desirable.
  • English GCSE grade D or above.
  • You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject.

Training and Development:

This apprenticeship is delivered by QA, with the following core elements:

  • Level 3 Software Development Technician qualification.
  • Training in software development lifecycle, programming principles, and relevant technologies.
