Electrical Maintenance Role at NES Fircroft

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our client's onshore Maintenance team at their Dimlington gas terminal. As an Electrical Maintenance technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the facility by performing routine and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.

This role operates on a shift rotation of 7 days on, 7 days off, 12-hour shifts. You will be required to switch low and high voltage electrical equipment, perform EX maintenance on EX Electrical equipment, and complete P forms for adding or removing maintenance to equipment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Preventative maintenance of Electrical equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • EX maintenance on all EX Electrical equipment.
  • Completions of P forms for adding or removing maintenance to equipment.
  • Participation in weekly planning meetings to formulate the plan for the next shift.
  • Attendance at daily morning and evening wash-up meetings.
  • Raising of Work Control Certificates (WCC's) for non-routine tasks, including level 2 WCC's.
  • Raising of Isolation Control Certificates (ICC's) for both electrical tasks and tasks for other trades that require an isolation.
  • Switching of low and high voltage electrical equipment.
  • Liaising with the Terminal Electrical Engineer to resolve complex issues.
  • Participation in planning and execution of work associated with annual slowdowns/shutdown.
  • Ordering of spare parts and materials as required, including raising Purchase Requests (PR's) in SAP.
  • Testing and checking of temporary equipment when it is brought onto the Installation.
  • Testing and maintenance of portable equipment, and regular calibration of electrical test equipment.
  • Practical operational training and mentoring for candidates working towards their assessment as an Authorised Electrical Person (AEP).
Requirements:
  • A completed time served trade apprenticeship.
  • Experience in offshore/onshore Oil & Gas Industry or related industries.

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
