Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

The NHS is seeking an exceptional Nurse Practitioner to join our cardiovascular services team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures.

As a key member of the cardiac catheterization laboratory team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients from admission to discharge. You will work closely with the Cath Lab Manager/Senior Staff Nurse to ensure the smooth operation of the service, providing expert guidance and support to junior staff members.

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Registered Nurse with experience in nursing cardiac patients within an acute ward setting and cardiac catheter lab. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, and be able to formulate and verbalize views effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from admission to discharge
  • Work collaboratively with the Cath Lab Manager/Senior Staff Nurse to ensure the smooth operation of the service
  • Provide expert guidance and support to junior staff members
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of current advances in clinical care and facilitate the implementation of evidence-based practice
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, adhering to Trust policies and NMC guidelines

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a degree-level qualification or working towards
  • Minimum 1 year post-registration/cardiology experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to formulate and verbalize views
  • Evidence of flexible working and ability to adapt to changing priorities

Salary: £34,000 - £44,000 per annum, depending on experience
