About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist in Echocardiography, you will be responsible for providing cardiac diagnostic services across the trust sites, including Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex Hospital.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Clinical Physiology and Echocardiography, with experience in performing and reporting transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and transoesophageal echocardiography. You will also have the ability to mentor and train junior staff, and participate in clinical audit and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiographic studies to departmental protocols and relevant society standards/guidelines
  • Provide technical assistance in the performance of transoesophageal echocardiography
  • Perform IV cannulation and 12 lead ECGs
  • Mentor and train junior staff
  • Participate in clinical audit and research
Requirements
  • BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent
  • BSE/EACVI Accreditation or equivalent
  • Experience in performing and reporting echocardiograms
  • Ability to mentor and train junior staff
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
