Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Specialist to join our team at Mackenzie Jones. As a key member of our buying department, you will be responsible for managing the buying and merchandising of a range of health and beauty brands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage each stage of the buying process, including product selection, negotiation, forecasting, and monitoring sales to ensure stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
  • Analyze market trends and carry out competitive analysis to help identify and suggest new product ranges.
  • Run weekly and monthly reports to analyze performance and make improvements to product ranges.
  • Monitor sales to ensure stock levels are kept at appropriate levels and attend weekly meetings to update the buying department on stock levels and out of stocks.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
  • Manage all administration associated with the brands for which you are responsible.
  • Attend monthly buyer and product meetings to present new product ranges to the Board of Directors.
  • UK and European travel to attend trade shows and supplier meetings.
Requirements:
  • Entry-level buying or merchandising experience.
  • A real passion for product.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills – able to build and manage relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Commerciality and ability to keep up to date with market trends and changes in demand.
  • Ability to present to colleagues and the senior team.
What We Offer:
  • Salary up to £35,000 (depending on experience).
  • 21 days holiday plus bank holidays.
