Clinical Research Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Research Team Leader to join our team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the setup, coordination, and management of clinical research studies, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  2. Facilitate the informed consent process, ensuring participants understand the research and its implications.
  3. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
  4. Provide expert support to colleagues, including training and mentoring, to ensure the smooth running of research studies.
  5. Monitor and report on research study progress, identifying barriers to recruitment and implementing action plans.
  6. Ensure effective communication systems are in place, facilitating timely information flows to internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including study documentation and trial files.
  8. Act as a knowledgeable resource for staff and researchers, promoting an active and effective research culture.
  9. Provide professional and clinical leadership to the research team, prioritizing workload according to changing needs.
  10. Collaborate with the Principal Investigator to ensure a suitable and safe environment for research participants.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in clinical research, including leadership and management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and research governance standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including study documentation and trial files.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support team members.
