An exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled Healthcare Support Worker to join our team in the Emergency Department at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. We are looking for a caring and compassionate individual who has strong communication and observation skills to deliver excellent patient-focused care in a challenging environment.

As a Trust, our guiding principle is 'Putting Patients First' and that means giving our patients the best care and experience we can. You must have good communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team. A competitive salary of £21,400 - £28,600 per annum will be offered to the successful candidate.

Main duties of the job:

  1. Provide support to patients to maintain their hygiene needs.
  2. Accurately undertake and record patient observations, reporting any abnormalities immediately to a registered nurse.
  3. Escort patients to and from other wards and departments under the direct instruction of the Registered nurses.

The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Emergency Department is undergoing a significant refurbishment to accommodate a safe and deliverable service to patients and families. This is an exciting time to join our ED with opportunities to develop and grow with our team.
