Building Services Engineer

At Reed, we are seeking a skilled Building Services Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our static team, you will be responsible for delivering a first-class service to our customers.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial chillers, boilers, and air conditioning, with experience in FM services and district energy. You will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, responding to reactive call outs, and attending site to fix issues.

Some of the key duties of the role include:

  • Carrying out planned maintenance within the energy centre, satellite plant rooms, risers, and corridors
  • Responding to reactive call outs and attending site to fix issues
  • Performing mechanical duties such as pump overhauls, valve and pipework repairs, vibration analysis, PHEX maintenance, and fault finding
  • Performing electrical duties such as motor testing, BMS monitoring, meter checks, and fault finding
  • Servicing AHU's, FCU's, pumps, inverters, adiabatic coolers, valves, and Sidestream filters
  • Developing quotations for additional works and repairs as required

We are looking for a candidate who is a good problem solver, able to fault find and rectify issues, and has a good understanding of L8/Legionella. You will also be responsible for managing subcontractors and the company's other technical resources.

As a key member of our team, you will be expected to develop quotations for additional works and repairs, and to assist in asset verification and implementing a full and accurate PPM and asset management system.
