CNC Programmer and Operator Job Description

The Source is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer and Operator to join their team. As a CNC Programmer and Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machines and Kuka Robots to ensure smooth daily operations, meet production targets, and maintain high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program CNC machines and Kuka Robots to manufacture composite components.
  • Ensure daily production goals are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Support the implementation of Lean principles, 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Adjust machine cutting paths and settings to optimize productivity while maintaining quality.
  • Choose appropriate tools for cutting materials and program machines accordingly.
  • Identify and resolve issues with CNC machines and robots to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and TPM tasks, to ensure machines operate smoothly.
  • Provide training for new employees on the proper operation and setting of CNC machines and robots.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in the F1, Motorsport, or Automotive industry.
  • Proficient in programming and operating Fanuc 3 & 5-axis control systems.
  • Experience with 3-axis Fusion 360 and Power Mill CAM software for programming and operation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with OpenMind Hypermill software.
  • Experience with Vericut software.
  • Understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
