We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Curriculum Director to lead the development of our literacy and numeracy curriculum. The successful candidate will oversee the literacy and numeracy provision across the whole College, making a tangible difference to the lives of learners.

The post-holder will be responsible for providing a clear vision of an inclusive, high-performing, values-driven literacy and numeracy curriculum which supports all learners to improve their use of number and language and to make significant and sustained progress towards achieving the GCSE level 2 standard in English and Mathematics.

The ideal candidate will be a current or ambitious future leader who can demonstrate an empathetic approach, a sound pedagogical understanding of the art of teaching literacy and numeracy skills, and a broad range of experience in working with young people and adults across diverse educational settings.

Key responsibilities include leading the strategic development of the College's Literacy and Numeracy curriculum, contributing to the strategic development of adult responsive literacy and numeracy qualifications, and developing and implementing a well-planned and holistic Literacy and Numeracy curriculum.

Requirements include an honours degree or similar equivalent professional qualification, a recognised teaching qualification, and a substantial record of involvement in post-16 education.
