Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant two-form entry primary school in Wednesfield. The school is committed to inspiring and motivating children to achieve their full potential and is proud to serve its local community.
About the Role:In this position, you will play a key role in providing a broad and balanced curriculum, equipping students to become confident, lifelong learners.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the teacher to maintain a positive and effective learning environment.
- Assist in lesson planning, evaluation, and adjustment of teaching strategies.
- Monitor and assess pupils' responses to learning activities, recording achievements against predetermined objectives.
- Provide objective feedback and reports on pupil progress to the teacher.
- Maintain and update routine records, contributing to system reviews as needed.
- Promote positive values and behaviours among students, managing conflicts in line with school policies.
- Liaise sensitively with parents/carers and participate in feedback sessions as directed.
- Provide clerical/admin support, including the administration of coursework and preparation of resources.
- Implement agreed learning activities and adjust approaches based on pupil needs.
- Support local and national learning strategies, enhancing literacy and numeracy skills.
- Encourage the effective use of ICT in learning and help students develop their independence in its use.
- Prepare and maintain general and specialist equipment in line with educational strategies.
- Utilise specialised skills to assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Establish positive working relationships with pupils, serving as a role model and setting high expectations.
- Promote inclusion and acceptance, supporting each student's individual needs.
- Encourage collaborative learning and foster a supportive classroom environment.
