Tooling Engineer Role

This is a full-time engineering position based in Telford, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

As a Tooling Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering new Tooling projects, reviewing and buying off Tooling designs, and being proficient in basic 3D designing of Tools using SolidWorks or Catia.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and buying off Tooling designs
  • Project-managing tooling suppliers
  • Supporting manufacturing, quality, and engineering activities
  • Involved with Part and Tooling CAD models using SolidWorks or CATIA and producing 2D product, tooling, fixture, equipment drawings

Requirements include:

  • Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD Software SolidWorks and Catia
  • Previous automotive and FEA/MAGMA experience
  • ONC/HNC Apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical or Tool Making
  • Six sigma / Root Cause Analysis / Lean Manufacturing experience
  • DFMEA and PFMEA previous Automotive experience
