Maintenance Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team at a leading manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to machine breakdowns, executing preventative maintenance plans, and actively supporting a culture of Continuous Improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long term machine reliability
  • Execution of the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer's plan to work preventatively in addition to reactively
  • Use of appropriate root cause analysis tools & 5S
  • Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, looking at ways to engineer out persistent problems
  • Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system

Requirements:

  • Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
  • Continuous improvement knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of good engineering practices
