About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Lawyer to join our Commercial Procurement team. As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic advice to authorities and utilities on procurement issues, including exemptions to make direct awards and contract modifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on procurement regulations, including the Procurement Act 2023
  • Draft procurement documents, including adverts, selection questionnaires, and invitations
  • Advising authorities and utilities on the design and conduct of procurement processes
  • Supporting the disputes team in the preparation of claims and defences
  • Running procurement workstreams on major projects
  • Supporting business development initiatives, including client publications and speaking engagements
Requirements
  • Recent experience in public and/or utilities procurement law
  • Enthusiasm for developing further specialist procurement and sector expertise
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A strong client-service focus and commercial outlook
