Functional Healthcare Specialist

Become a skilled professional in healthcare, utilising your expertise to assess individuals with disabilities.
As a Functional Healthcare Specialist, you will work from home and at assessment centres on a rota basis, conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate a claimant's health condition or disability's impact on daily life.
Your role involves creating three detailed reports per day, analysing evidence and providing insight to support DWP decisions. You will benefit from a 12-week training programme, self-development opportunities, mentorship, and ongoing development.
The salary for this position is estimated at £38,500, with potential increases to £41,500 based on performance and experience.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic.
- Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, or other), without restriction or conditions, and with a valid PIN.
- Excellent observational and communication skills, enabling you to listen, empathise, and provide in-depth analysis.
- Able to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute.
- Demonstrable experience with IT and Microsoft Office, as well as remotely accessing systems like MS Teams.
