Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at SAUR (UK) LIMITED in Glasgow. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for executing planned and corrective electrical maintenance tasks to ensure the reliable condition and strong performance of various plant equipment at our site.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of scheduled planned maintenance by realizing work orders generated by the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Possess and demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, especially PLC, electrical panels and components, MCCs, Scada, general electrical duties.
  • Install and repair various types of industrial equipment and components.
  • Reacting to failure/breakdown of equipment and carrying out corrective/remedial measures as necessary or directed.
  • Perform strip down, repair, overhaul, and test of various electrical plant.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an electrical engineering apprenticeship at the trade level.
  • Proficiency in automated/PLC-controlled equipment, MCC, and SCADA systems.
  • Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and process schematics/specifications.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems and constraints.
  • Preferably holds current CSCS card or equivalent.
  • Holds a current driver's license.
  • Fluent in English Language.
  • Proficient in Data Gathering & Analysis.
  • Holds a forklift license, confined spaces & escape BA certification (preferred).

Working Conditions:

  • The core working week is 37 hours from Monday to Friday.
