Are you a positive and creative person looking for a new opportunity to work with children who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties as well as other complex needs?

GSL Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work in one of our local schools in Waterlooville. This school provides highly effective education, therapy, welfare and support for both boys and girls aged from 5 to 16 years.

A suitable candidate will have experience working with children who have complex learning difficulties and will enjoy building positive relationships with pupils in Key Stage 1 and 2.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting children's emotional wellbeing and communication skills.
  • Safeguarding will be your number one priority ensuring the welfare of the pupils.
  • Working with Key stage 1 and 2 aged pupils.
  • Working under the guidance of a teacher supporting small groups of pupils with learning tasks.

£384.60 - £450 per week

Temporary to permanent contract
