Learning Support Assistant

Axcis Education is seeking a highly skilled Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Hanworth, Middlesex.
Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Working Hours: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to provide one-to-one support and small group work for children with Special Learning Difficulties (SLD) and other SEN. The successful candidate will assist in the development of students' educational, social, and life skills, promoting independence wherever possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one support and small group work for children with SLD and other SEN
- Assisting in the development of students' educational, social, and life skills
- Managing and catering to various personal care needs
- Creating and maintaining a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and SENCO to implement and support individual education plans
- Monitoring and recording the progress of students
- Assisting in adapting materials and equipment to meet the needs of students with SLD
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SLD and other SEN in an educational setting
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
- Skilled in managing challenging behaviours and using de-escalation techniques effectively
- An understanding and patient approach to the individual needs of students
- The ability to communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
