Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer to join our team at Hexagon AB. As a key member of our sales support team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert product demonstrations, managing customer relationships, and ensuring the smooth operation of our demo equipment.

Your technical expertise will be vital in helping customers understand the value of our portable measurement products, while your organizational skills will ensure efficient support throughout the sales process. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, customer-facing experience, and the ability to travel frequently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Participate actively in customer visits, meetings, and events, including exhibitions, in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the Sales Support Team to prepare quotations and recommend appropriate solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Product Training: Conduct product training sessions to enhance customer understanding and utilization of Hexagon products.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest technical product information for both software and hardware to provide informed support.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Experience in selling, demonstrating, or using technically complex products, with a preference for experience in metrology equipment or software.
  2. Education: Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
  3. Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge with a commercial mindset; excellent computer skills are essential.
  4. Communication: Fluent in English, with strong pedagogical skills for product demonstrations and training.
  5. Personal Qualities: Highly motivated, self-starting, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
  6. Willingness to Travel: The role requires approximately 40 hotel nights per year for customer visits and events.
