Job Responsibilities:You will be responsible for managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring seamless operations and maintaining high standards.
Work with fresh produce to create high-quality, wholesome dishes cooked to the highest standards.
Create a warm, efficient, and fun environment that promotes teamwork and employee satisfaction.
Work within budget to optimize resources and minimize waste.
Complete regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Manage stock control to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Requirements:- A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents.
- Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience in leading and inspiring a team, promoting collaboration and productivity.
- A good understanding of nutrition and the ability to create balanced meals.
- Experience working with fresh seasonal food and creating menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary needs.
- The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home, fostering a sense of community among residents and staff.
- A good understanding of HACCP principles and practices.
