Dermatology Consultant

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Dermatology Consultant to join our Specialist Medicine Division at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide consultant leadership to the supervision of junior medical and nursing teams, delivering high-quality safe outpatient and inpatient care.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record in diagnosing and managing all aspects of general dermatology, including skin cancer and inflammatory skin disease. You will be responsible for providing clinical expertise to referring medical teams and supporting inpatient referrals to the specialty.
Main Duties- Diagnose and manage all aspects of general dermatology, including skin cancer and inflammatory skin disease.
- Provide consultant leadership to the supervision of junior medical and nursing teams.
- Support inpatient referrals to the specialty and provide clinical expertise to referring medical teams.
- Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols to ensure high-quality care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of local services.
- Higher Degree (MB BS or equivalent).
- Membership or Fellowship of the MRCP.
- Full Registration with GMC with a licence to practice.
- Specialist Qualification in Dermatology or equivalent with Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
- MD or equivalent.
- BSc accreditation.
- Wide experience in all aspects of dermatology, culminating in the award of CCT in specialties.
- Demonstrate interest in surgical dermatology and competence in dermatological surgery.
- Experience of skin cancer multi-disciplinary meetings.
- Experience in other relevant medical specialties.
- Completion of courses relevant to dermatology.
- Advanced training in skin surgery/post CCST fellowship.
