Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical and Mechanical Engineer to join our team at The Electronics Group. As a dynamic and innovative automation, robotics, and integration company, we specialize in the design and installation of complete machines, robot cells, software modifications, and bespoke End-of-Arm Tools (EOAT) for various industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Control Panel Wiring: Wire control panels for automation systems and robotic applications.
  • Mechanical Fabrication: Utilize drilling, grinding, and welding skills for the fabrication and assembly of mechanical components and structures.
  • CAD Design: Use CAD software to create detailed designs for mechanical components and/or electrical systems.
  • Fault Finding and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues in control panels and machinery.
  • Innovative Problem Solving: Develop creative and efficient solutions to overcome engineering challenges.
  • PC Skills: A working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is a must.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, software engineers, and clients.
Qualifications:
  • HNC, or above, in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong mechanical fabrication skills, including welding, grinding, and drilling.
  • Good understanding of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Starting salary negotiable £35k - £40k, with a review after a successful 3-month probationary period.
