Job Overview

Elmya is a dynamic company in the renewable energy sector, working on impactful projects contributing to a sustainable future. We are seeking a Senior Planner to support our team in obtaining Planning Approval for projects, managing Appeals Planning Strategy and Implementation, and processing planning applications.

The estimated salary for this position is £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include flexible working hours, professional development opportunities, and a modern office environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation, revision, and submission of planning applications for TCPA and DCO Solar PV and BESS projects, engaging consultants and third parties as needed.
  • Review documentation, liaise with stakeholders, and advise the company on application content and strategy.
  • Coordinate site inspections, manage internal budgeting forecast for each project, and ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, or related field with focus on UK urban and rural planning and environmental policies.
  • Previous knowledge of S36 (ECU) and Town Planning renewable energy and infrastructure planning regulations in the UK.
  • Experience with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), spatial planning, and GIS applications in land use.
  • Proven experience with public consultations and stakeholder engagement for large-scale infrastructure projects.
