Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plater Manufacturing Specialist to join our team. As a Plater, you will play a crucial role in the manufacture of our high-performance pumps for Original Equipment and aftermarket jobs.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and manufacture piece parts according to engineering drawings.
- Prepare steel or other metal plates and sections for various products.
- Work with metal plates of varying thicknesses, from 5mm to over 100mm.
- Operate heavy-duty guillotines, oxyacetylene flame cutters, and rollers/presses to cut, shape, and bend plates.
- Weld or bolt plates together to fabricate the finished product.
- Measure and mark out plates for cutting, shaping, and drilling.
- Operate plate cutting machines, edge preparation machines, and roll bending machines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently.
Requirements
- Time-served experience in heavy manufacturing, preferably with up to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Understanding and experience of lean manufacturing techniques.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
