History Teacher Opportunity at Esteemed Secondary School in Lambeth

We are delighted to partner with a well-respected secondary school in Lambeth recognized for its strong academic focus and inclusive learning environment. They are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate History Teacher to join their faculty on a full-time permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in inspiring students with a love of history, nurturing their critical thinking skills, and developing their understanding of the past's impact on the present. The role involves:

  • Designing and Delivering Engaging History Lessons: Creating and delivering History lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational philosophy across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Creating a Stimulating Learning Environment: Developing a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, inquiry, and historical analysis.
  • Assessing Student Progress: Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and tailoring instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborating with Colleagues: Collaborating with colleagues within the Humanities department to develop a rich and diverse curriculum.
  • Contributing to Extracurricular Activities: Contributing to the school's extracurricular activities and fostering a sense of community.

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in History or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Proven experience teaching History at the secondary level.
