Financial Controller

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join an esteemed firm of chartered accountants based in Kent. As a Senior Accountant, you will work in a general practice capacity across accounts, tax, bookkeeping, and VAT, reporting directly to the Partners.

You will be a recently qualified or qualified by experience Senior Accountant with a strong background in accountancy practices. You will have the autonomy to manage your workload and our client will provide study support if required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of statutory accounts to review stage using IRIS
• Assisting with management accounts production
• Personal taxation, corporate taxation, and VAT returns
• General bookkeeping duties using Sage, Xero, or Quickbooks
• Coaching and mentoring junior staff members and trainees

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience within an accountancy practice
• AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
• Hands-on experience of accounts, tax, and VAT preparation

Benefits:

• Competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience and background, negotiable
