About the Role

Job Overview

As a Store Team Member, you will be the face of Home Bargains, delivering exceptional customer service with enthusiasm. Your role will involve assisting customers with product queries, handling cash transactions, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in the store. You will also support your fellow team members in delivering excellence across the board, ensuring that our high standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with stock replenishment, ensuring that products are available and presentable on the shelves.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues to achieve sales targets and maintain a clean and tidy store environment.
  • Operate cash handling equipment, including tills and EPOS systems, accurately and efficiently.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays, ensuring that the store looks appealing and inviting to customers.

Benefits

As a Store Team Member, you will receive a competitive rate of pay, ranging from £9.00 per hour for those under 18, £11.18 for those 18-20, and £11.88 for those 21 and over. You will also receive 5.6 weeks' paid holiday per year, including bank and public holiday allowance, rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years' service. Additionally, you will have access to a contributable company pension scheme, staff uniform, and 10% store discount.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate a good understanding of customer service, experience of cash handling and working in a retail environment, and experience of manual handling and stock replenishment. You will also need to be hardworking and reliable, with a polite and professional demeanor.
