Job Title: Scaffold Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Scaffold Design Engineer to join our team in Essex. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in scaffold design or temporary works and a passion for delivering innovative and practical solutions within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive site surveys to identify clients' needs
  • Perform structural analysis and undertake independent design checks to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with all relevant standards
  • Carry out designs using AutoCAD and produce supporting calculations
  • Read and reference complete structural drawings
  • Liaise with clients face-to-face and in writing/by phone as necessary
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or HNC in Engineering with relevant experience)
  • Advanced level use of AutoCAD to produce high-quality design drawings
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet production
  • Relevant experience working with structural analysis software tools in line with current standards
  • Competent at reading and interpreting complex structural drawings
  • Friendly, collaborative outlook and excellent communication skills
